To counter the various issues related to parcel services, Jaipur city is soon going to have a Parcel Hub. It is a great step towards dealing the increasing parcel services in India. The parcel hub has been started constructing by the Indian Postal Department. Apart from Jaipur, it will be constructed in 13 places. In present, parcel hub will be built in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. Know why Parcel Hubs come into existence
In fact, the Central Government has signed MoU with many Indian and foreign companies to receive the parcel from them and to deliver it further. But, the government is not able to compete with private sector agencies involved in parcel services. Private parcel agencies have good infrastructure and storage facility too. These things were not available with government. Hence, government has decided to build parcel hubs with best services.

The building of parcel hub will be single storey. This building will have a capacity storing 10,000 parcels a day. it will cost around ₹ 2.5 crore.
As the parcel services have increased in India so Indian Postal Department faces issues due to lack of infrastructure. This new initiative will be a great help.
