This year, monsoon gets delayed in Rajasthan due to which people are suffering. The scorching heat has made the lives of people very tough. The rains are badly needed in the state as heat is on the peak. But, good news is that the pre-monsoon activities started in Rajasthan. People got some relief after moderate showers on various parts of state. The conditions have now become favourable for the arrival of southwest monsoon in state. Know more.

Although the monsoon was expected to hit the state by mid of June, the monsoon has not arrived yet. But, the situation has changed a bit in southern Rajasthan as the region witnessed a good amount of rainfall. In various parts of Rajasthan, there was good rainfall on Sunday. In Jhalawar, it was 90 mm rainfall which was highest in state while Kushalgarh (Banswara) received 70 mm rainfall and 50 mm of rainfall in Ramganjmandi (Kota).

What’s the situation of temperature in state?
However, the other parts of state experienced heat waves even now. On Sunday, there were many places which were considered the hottest due to high temperature. In the list, Churu was the hottest in the state with a maximum temperature of 44.5 degree Celsius. Sriganganagar had 44.4 degree Celsius temperature and Jaisalmer and Pilani were 42.5 degree Celsius each. In Jaipur, maximum temperature of 41.6 degree Celsius was recorded. The other hot places of the day were Bikaner, Barmer, Jodhpur, Ajmer and Kota.

As per the MeT department, the state could witness southwest monsoon within 3-4 days. Let’ wait for the arrival of the monsoon to Rajasthan.
