Jaipur Discom is preparing itself for the collection of revenues in its entirety. This will ensure that its operations continue without laggards. The aim is to ensure that all dues are collected and that the recovery process is strengthened.

The management has devised a new strategy for ensuring a speedy recovery of the outstanding receipts. This will lead to a fall in cases of electricity theft. The divisions will now be provided with the defaulting consumers. The Discom has ceased the electricity supply owing non-payment.

As per modus operandi of electricity department, the electrical connection is cut after a series of non-payments. The collection is only revived when the payment is made. Another strategy is to check if the users have connected to other unethical sources of supply. The divisional executive engineer has been asked to focus on recovery of outstanding dues.

To make electricity payments seamless and hassle-free, the department launched the Bijli Mitra App. This app allows streamlines payment, thereby saving the user from easiest payments.

It has been decided that if a division fails to achieve 100 per cent revenue realisation for two months in a row, the officials of that zone will be served a show cause notice.

The customers are being motivated for timely payments so that there arises no need for recovery procession. The director of finance will be reconciling the revenue realization on a monthly basis. The department officials will be ensuring that there is 100% recovery.

The public understands that electricity is a need and for that, it is necessary for them to understand that the source of this electricity also needs funds to continue its services. Keeping this in mind, the public should be punctual in their payments.
