After receiving the response, AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) decided to carry out workshops with the top 5 most preferred states. Talking about Rajasthan, the Director of AICTE Manpreet Singh Manna held workshops in Jaipur which witnessed participation of 65 institutes.

He pointed out that this is a highly important program for the government of India as it’s going to be the biggest confidence building measure for Kashmiri students.

Currently, there are 2000 Kashmiri students in Rajasthan, particularly in Jaipur and Chittorgarh. This year, 300 students are likely to join the institutes in Rajasthan. Moreover, more than 200 institutes are interested in giving admissions to students hailing from the Jammu & Kashmir state.

According to Mr. Manpreet Singh Manna, the students coming from J& K and North East should be given extra care and support as they come from slightly different backgrounds. They must be kept engaged in various activities (both indoor and outdoor) so that it would help them in building their confidence and they can be integrated with other students.
