Windstorm and rain in the state consistently from the past two days have cooled down the temperature in the state bringing a relief to the residents and the animals. On Monday and Tuesday this week, the hail storms followed by mild showers cooled down the soaring temperature in most of the parts of the state including the capital pink city Jaipur.
After the showers of rain, the Jaipur Met office recorded a slip of almost 3 degrees Celsius in the evening which made the weather pleasant. With the sudden wind storm many parts of the state also witnessed some uprooting of trees and damage to the electricity cables and poles.
Temperatures recorded after the storm and little rain were Jodhpur at 43 degrees, Jaisalmer at 42.3, Sriganganagar at 42.5, Churu at 41 and the capital city of Jaipur at 40 degrees.
Jaipur Met Office said, “This is mainly because of the active upper air cyclonic circulation. In the next couple of days temperatures will further rise.” It added that the weather in most parts of the state is expected to remain dry for the next couple of days except for the northern regions where mild showers of rain are expected in a day or two.
