The fever of increasing green cover has been scaled to another level in the desert state, which is gearing up to host the extravagant Van Mahotsav programme on July 10.
The festival which will be a state-wide celebration will be witnessed across the state, district, block and Gram Panchayat levels. Preparations have started in advance for ensuring successful conduct of the Mahotsav.

Implementation of MJSA-2 – An influential message
The second phase of Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan (MJSA-2) has been implemented in 4200 villages with the larger view to boost water security and ensure water availability in the desert state. Additionally, the implementation of MJSA-2 has engendered creation of over one lakh water conservation structures.
A myriad of crop plantations have been ahead of the Van Mahotsav which is slated to be held in Jaipur district at the Beed Govindpura at 10:30 am. With an objective of enlarging green cover, over 60 lakh plants have been planted across different parts of the state.
Dignitaries to attend Van Mahotsav
CM Raje will be gracing the event as the Chief Guest for the event. Besides, the other ministers like Forest and Environment Minister, Gajendra Singh will also be in attendance at the event. Employees of various departments will also be present at the Van Mahotsav.
Nihal Chand Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary, Forest & Environment has directed concerned officials to work towards ensuring full and uncompromised preparations for the Mahotsav, which has already garnered a lot of buzz in Rajasthan.
