In a recent meeting held by the garage committee in Udaipur, it was decided that the public will soon be able to enjoy the ride of petrol boats and cruise in the city’s lakes. The committee also looked into a lot of pending issues like the toy train in Gulab Bagh that is soon going to be operated.
Reports suggest that the public will soon have access to Cruise facility in Pichola Lake from 9 am to 11 pm. Earlier, the timings were fixed at 6 to 9 in the morning and evening but then keeping the public interest in mind, the authorities decided to change the timings. If reports are to be believed, a private company is going to operate the cruise in Lake Pichola and the estimated operational cost will be around INR 5 Crores.

The cruise will have some hi-tech features that will render the feel of a multiplex or a mall having restaurants, music, and even games for the kids. Moving on, Govardhan Sagar will have the petrol boats for entertaining the public. Earlier it was planned that solar-powered boats will be introduced but since no boating company showed any interest, the idea was dropped.
Coming to the pending issue of the operation of Toy Train in Gulab Bagh, the committee has decided that it will start from the month of September. The charges for the train have been fixed at INR 50 for Indian nationals, INR 200 foreign nationals, INR 25 for students, and free of cost for children below the age of 5.
