Multiple ceasefire violations by Pakistan and unexpected terrorist attacks on BSF posts resulted in India losing multiple lives in last one month. Sadly, most of them were from India’s largest state Rajasthan. Amidst mournful cries for justice and public outrage against the neighbours, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje visited Gaavn (Barmer), Longasar (Jaisalmer) and Khirjakhas (Shergarh) to pray for the souls of martyred soldiers, who’ve died protecting their motherland. She took this opportunity to register requests for government-sponsored support package. Rajasthan government will be announcing appropriate aid for the martyr’s families to ease financial burden on them.
Rajasthan Government Assured Appropriate Financial Aid to Martyrs’ Families
CM Raje paid a visit to martyr Prem Singh’s family in Barmer and offered her prayers at the martyr’s residence. She consoled his family and assured them full support in times of sorrow. Upon public request, the CM directed district collector Sudhir Sharma to allot a part of government-owned land for Singh’s memorial.
After praying for Singh’s peaceful rest, the CM flew to Jaisalmer to support martyr Narpat Singh’s family. She consoled his sick old father and inquired about his 8-year old son Phool Singh’s career plan. Hearing that innocent Phool Singh wants to fall into his father’s footsteps, Raje appreciated his intense devotion for motherland. Offering a cheque of Rs. 20 lakh to martyr’s wife Bhanwar Kanwar, she asked her to provide quality education to their kids.
Local MP Shaitan Singh Rathore used this opportunity to reveal his plans regarding constructing a memorial to honour martyr Narpat’s sacrifice. The memorial will be constructed near Government Higher Secondary School in the village.
Last but not the least, CM boarded a flight to martyr Prabhu Singh’s ancestral house in Shergarh. Offering a floral garland at the deceased’s photograph, the CM prayed for his peaceful rest. She lauded the never-dying spirit of Singh’s family members, who were active members of Indian army for several generations. Consoling Singh’s wife Om Kanwar, who is laid back with sickness, she assured to help the family in all possible ways.
The meeting ended with Raje offering a self-signed copy of Dr. Lakshman Singh Gadha’s book ‘Shaheed Shambhu Singh- Ek Deshbhakti ki Misal’ to Singh’s father.
Thus, it was a busy day for CM Raje, who spent her time in assuring the well-being of martyr’s families. Resolved to ease their pain, Raje announced a support package to cover their medical and living expenses, education requirements and future needs.
