Udaipur has become one of the most popular choices of the filmmakers for more than a decade. This has been preferred by many local film producers too for the shooting of their films. This led to raise the demand of Film city in Udaipur. This project requires 300 bhiga land which is not available.
As per the urban improvement trust, the land is not available in the periphery of the city so members of the Film City Sangharsh Samiti has demanded land be granted outside the boundary of Udaipur city. For this purpose, members of samiti have written to CM demanding land at reserve price for developing the film city. There is also demand for all amenities, including hi-tech studio, artificial sets and processing facilities. However, investors are ready to raise Rs 1,000 crore for this project.

Well.. there are numerous factors that makes Udaipur a suitable location for shooting. Udaipur provides more than 100 locations within limited area. It has palaces, lakes, hills, gardens, heritage buildings, forts and luxury hotels. The atmosphere is peaceful and culture is distinct. Another important factor is easy connectivity. It has good connectivity via road, rail and air.
