With adding beauty to the state, state government also wants to add “look good, feel good” factor in Rajasthan schools. Government schools will be having mirrors and combs kept in school premises to make sure that all teachers and students get themselves groomed and appear smart. This initiation has been take by Shala-Darpan campaign and major number of schools have already been covered under this as mentioned by Hari Prasad, additional director of education department.
He explained it like, “When there is a mirror and comb, students and teachers can arrange themselves. This will give them a good feeling and students will also feel confident”. Adding to this, government has also taken initiation on starting a “Shala-Darpan” portal on which official data which is authentic should be known will be uploaded. Also, all the data related to government schools will be made available. The portal will be available for any kind of updating needed and all the principals of the schools will have the authority to log in and update it.
Hari Prasad mentioned it like, “Details about the number of schools, students, teachers, student-teacher ratio in the schools have been provided online. One can search the details schoolwise”. The portal all other details lime name, contact numbers of the school principals, classrooms’ details in the schools, number of play grounds in the school, toilets and many other facilities. Also, all the black boards have been replaced with green boards.
Further, he added, “Details about the number of schools, students, teachers, student-teacher ratio in the schools have been provided online. One can search the details schoolwise”.
In the 50, 993 school of the state, a number of 36, 48, 994 students are enrolled with 1,49,381 teachers on roll.
With this era of digitalisation, Raje government has not kept any sector of the state untouched from the possibilities of growth. Evolving education system is one example of that.
