With constant efforts to develop prime necessity services to creating loads of resources for state dwellers to have a good time, Rajasthan has been cruising on a rapid treadmill of making life simpler.
Quite recently, Rajasthan also announced that now the state will have Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in five districts by February end for delivering passport related services across the state.
The Ministry of external affairs (MEA) has ushered this drive in various parts of the country to ensure hassle-free passport service for one and all.
The ministry of external affairs has approved one centre each in Kota, Jaisalmer, Jhunjhunu, Bikaner and Jhalawar in the state.
Regional passport officer Vivek Jeph said, “We have finalised sites in Kota and Jhalawar. We have to start the kendras by February 28 which is the deadline.”
The ministry of external affairs and the department of posts (DOP) have earnestly collaborated towards ensuring that the Aam Aadmi undergoes hassle-free and seamless process to get their passports ready. Both associations/ organizations have decided to join hands to deliver passport-related services to the citizens.
This movement has been pioneered in the backdrop of two successful movements which have reaped unprecedented wondrous results. Through this movement, the Centre prompts to upscale the decides to upscale this programme by opening 56 such facilities across the country in distinct states, including not only Rajasthan but also Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
This initiative has been undertaken in the light of pre and post application process. The Ministry of External Affairs has spelled out a relief for all passport seeker. He stated that once the programme is run in full swing, seekers will be in a position to schedule appointment at the respective POPSK centre to complete the formalities.
The brainchild of the MEA and DOP, the Opening of Passport Seva Kendra initiative had officially commenced in Mysuru and Dahod (Gujarat) on January 25.
