Rejuvenate Dravyavati River: Drainage and sewage has always been a significant problem in the state of Rajasthan. Rivers are being polluted by the people of the state despite of repetitive warnings and strict actions by the state government. The state government but on the other hand was ignoring the drainage-sewerage plans which are much needed by the state.
Now seeing the greater need, the state government is now finally set to take a loan from NCRPB (National Capital Region Planning Board) for cleaning and rejuvenating Dravyavati River of the state. The decision was taken after the centre declined to give any loan to the state government due to absence of bank guarantee.
“The state government has sent the proposal again and it will not provide bank gurantee for drainage and sewerage projects. It would only give bank guarantee to take up rejuvenation work of the Dravyavati river, which will cost about Rs 779 crore.” said an official. The official added, “ “As the state government has again refused to give guarantee for JDA projects, the proposal that JDA will give bank guarantee on its own has been forwarded to state government to table it in NCRPB.”
