In order to maintain the record of leaves of the employees, an adequate attendance system is required. There is also less transparency in the attendance of employees at the government offices. Lack of transparency sometimes creates issues for the administration. Hence, to maintain attendance record and transparency in attendance, software is developed by Information Technology and Communication department. The software is named ‘Raj-Kaj’. It will start functioning from May 21 and all the employees have to apply on it for leave instead of going manual system.
Why is the need of this software come?
As per the sources, the handwritten system of applying for leaves is full of discrepancies. The government employees skip duties and go on leave. There are also many officers who come to office when the office the working hours are about to end. Due to lack of proper monitoring, this tendency of bunking office is prevalent. It is also observed that places where there is practice of signing register manually, the employees sign register next day after availing the leave. This is badly affecting the working in office.
How to apply for the leave through new software?
Under this new system, the employees have to download application, fill the form and send to immediate boss. Now, granting leave or not will be decided by the boss.
