Rajasthan is experiencing the coldest December this year. Usually, temperature in day stays around 30 degrees C but this year its been below 25 degrees Celsius. This change in weather is faced by people all over the state. In fact, the difference between maximum and minimum temperatures is considerably low.
Considering the temperature of last few years, it is found that in month of December the maximum temperature in Jaipur was between 26 -30 degrees Celsius and never go below 26 degrees Celsius. But this year it is approximately 24.4 degrees Celsius in Jaipur.
The report of Meteorological department says that the difference between maximum and minimum temperature in Sriganganagar is 12 degree Celsius. Talking about the other districts of Rajasthan, Churu has maximum temperature below 24 degrees Celsius. Churu and Sriganganagar are the coldest place in the state. The maximum temperature in Sriganganagar and Churu are of 16 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature in these two places is 4 degrees Celsius and 1.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
Well.. the reasons behind this substantial drop in the month of December are good rainfall, presence of moisture and the active northernly winds.
