Finally, the doors to screening of film Padmavat have been opened in Rajasthan. However, this is not available to general public. Satyam cinema hall in Jodhpur will showcase movie to High Court Justice Sandeep Mehta and some other judicial officers. There is a public curfew over film Padmavat in Jodhpur city but this will be going to end on the order of the Rajasthan High Court.
Why is the movie being shown to Special group of judges of High Court?
In Deedwana police station of Nagaur district, an FIR has been lodged against the director of the film Padmavat Sanjay Leela Bhansali, film actor Ranvir Singh and Deepika Padukone. There was hearing of the case in Rajasthan High Court where Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s advocate said that they can show the film before the court on 3 February, 2018.
Although the Police Commissioner Ashok Rathod asked the court to grant two weeks’ time to showcase the film, the High Court refused it. High Court commented that the Supreme Court has already made it clear to make arrangements for quick demonstration of this film. Hence, there is no need to ask for two weeks time.
When will Padmavat be showcased?
High Court has ordered to show the film on next Monday i.e. February 5.
As the film is in high-resolution so it is not possible to broadcast in the hall of the judicial academy, urged the lawyer of film producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Hence, the film will be shown in Satyam cinema hall on February 5, 2018. After watching the film on February 5, the next hearing of the case will be on 6 February, 2018.
