The condition of cricket in Rajasthan is not hidden to anyone. The players and the Rajasthan Cricket Association have been trying to get it work in the state. Everything the association did all went in vain. Now, the president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association, Lalit Modi has thought of something new to bring to the state. The brain behind the idea of Indian Premier League is now wondering to bring a similar kind of league in the state. This is undoubtedly great news for the players associated with the Rajasthan Cricket Association.
RCA secretary, Sumendra Tiwary told, “It’s in the planning stage and though nothing has been finalised yet, we will decide soon whether to have a T20 league or not. The talks are on. He (Modi) is part of it; after all he is the president of RCA.”
Ont he idea of conducting a similar championship to that of IPL in the state of Rajasthan, the BCCI (Board of Cricket Council of India) official said, “They can host the league as it’s a domestic tournament and anyway they are hosting their own inter-district and other tournaments.”
Well, the president, Lalit Modi is not only trying to make this twenty-20 tournament a success in the state but is also trying to call in international players for the tournament.
