After Udaipur, it’s Jaipur that has added a whole new super speciality wing to its hospitals to provide advanced treatment for grave diseases. Rajasthan health minister Kalicharan Saraf recently inaugurated the super speciality facilities in Jaipuria Hospital this Monday. The news came as a relief for patients admitted in SMS Hospital (Sawai Man Singh) since the hospital staff was already struggling to accommodate the increasing number of patients in a restricted space.
For those who’re unaware, a super speciality hospital is furnished with advanced equipment and technologies in specific fields. Accordingly, the Jaipuria Hospital will cover treatment facilities like cardiology, neurosurgery, neurology, radiation oncology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and plastic surgery.

New Beds in Mother & Child Health wing
Other than inaugurating the super speciality wing for Jaipuria, Saraf announced that the hospital will soon accommodate 500 beds in the MCH (Mother and Child Health) wing. Rajasthan health department has issued special directions to the officers to wind up this project within three months.

New Pathologies
The health officials will include a catheterization laboratory and advanced facilities for MRI and CT scan in the hospital. The hospitals will also include new tense machines, ultrasonic therapy machine, paraffin wax path machine, shortwave diathermy machine, muscle stimulator machine and interferential therapy machine in its new physiotherapy unit.

New Beds, LEDs and Funds
The hospital will contain more beds in each ward. Additional funds worth 11 lakhs have been approved for installation of new beds and CCTV cameras inside the hospital wards. Additionally, Jaipuria will be the first hospital in Rajasthan to install 1,000 LED lights for power conservation.
Rajasthan government has sanctioned Rs 8 lakh for this purpose. New cables for electricity, water lines and sewer lines will be laid down for the patients. An additional amount of Rs 30 lakh has been sanctioned for this purpose.
With these improvements, the government is hopeful that the hospitals will provide better facilities to the public.
