Dr. Mohan Meena (Superintendent, Kanwatia) shared his experiences with media professionals, regarding this development. Over the years, the hospital has received trauma cases every now and then. Due to shortage of facilities, doctors had to refer severe cases to SMS hospital. However, with the inception of new units, the hospital staff will be able to provide effective emergency services round the clock.
The hospital administration is serious about providing top-notch services. Last year, Rs 25 lakh have been allotted to the hospital under NHM (National Health Mission) for the construction of new blood bank. The hospital has invested this amount in blood bank facility. Additionally, they’ll be strengthening their MRI and CT-scan machines for better results. The resident doctors of SMS and other specialized institutions will be requested to join Kanwatia soon. Hopefully, this will reduce some pressure on SMS doctors.
