Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) will start from 25 January, 2018. It is a grand event of literature that invites books’ lovers, dignitaries and writers all over the world. It is a five day fest that will end on 29 January, 2018. In this event, CBFC head Prasoon Joshi is a regular visitor. This year, his session is scheduled on 28 January. Prasoon Joshi’s session as a speaker is on ‘Main aur Woh: Conversations with Myself’.
But, due to Padmvati row, he has been threatened by Rajput community not to enter Rajasthan. He was warned as he allowed the screening of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat. Rajputs don’t want this movie to be released which states the saga of queen Padmavati of Chittorgarh. This led to doubt about Prasoon Joshi’s visit for the event. But now it has been made clear that he will visit the JLF on the scheduled day.
The producer of JLF stated that the event is organized every year with full security. The state government and security officials ensure that event is being conducted peacefully. In fact, there is no intimation from Prasoon Joshi about cancellation of his visit to JLF this year.
