North-Western Railway is preparing to clear out the Diwali rush by adding extra coaches to the trains by the end of this month. Diwali is still two months away, but the rush for ticket booking has already picked up the pace. Festivals lined up before Diwali are going to increase the bookings in upcoming days. NWR has made the temporary addition of AC coaches in 8 pairs of trains this month.
These trains to get additional coaches-
Jaipur-Lucknow (train number 19715/19716) which runs on a tri-weekly basis, a second cum third AC coach has been added. The added coach will provide 56 berths.
An additional coach for Jaipur-Jodhpur Superfast express.
An additional coach for Bikaner-Bandra Express.
A coach for Terminus Bikaner Express.
An additional coach for Udaipur- New Jalpaiguri weekly express.
An additional coach for Sriganganagar-Delhi Express.
NWR selected these pairs on the basis of ticket booking engagements. These routes have the highest number of train rounds and the rush as well. Considering NWR is the best railway zone in the country for management, operation, and cleanliness. Hence the division is not in the mood for leaving any stone unturned to be on the top.
