The Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) 2017 which was recently organized in Udaipur had an exhibition that drew the attention of a large number of people. This GRAM Exhibition was arranged in an outdoor space occupying more than 3200 square meters of land.
The event witnessed over 150 public and private sector companies setting up stalls to display a wide variety of products. These included-
- Agri Inputs & Protected Cultivation
- Irrigation, Plasticulture, and Precision Farming
- Farm machinery & allied services
- Food processing technologies
- Dairy
- Livestock
- Agri Diversification & retailers
- Post Harvest technologies & equipment
The GRAM meet was organized under a joint effort by the Government of Rajasthan and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FICCI). The exhibited technologies aimed at informing farmers about various technologies and equipment used in agriculture and livestock sector that can be put to domestic use.
In a stall put up by the National Seeds Corporation Ltd., new and unique automated seeds vending machine was showcased. Other stalls included superior quality seeds for sale. This comprised onion, cauliflower, carrots, corn, fenugreek, etc which were available for purchase at the starting price of INR 10 only.
Moving on, the dairy sector displayed numerous innovations available for the milk producers of the state. The stall offered several incentives and exemptions for those interested in milk manufacturing. In the pavilion set up by the Department of Agriculture, displayed Custom Hiring Centres exhibiting techniques of organic farming and water conservation methods.

Discussing the outdoor section of the GRAM exhibition, various automobile companies had showcased specialized automobiles and farm machinery utilized in agriculture. Organized at the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, the exhibition aimed at showcasing agricultural technologies that are well suited to the climatic conditions of Rajasthan. A special focus was laid on the farm mechanization and farm machinery.
