Jaipur: The ‘Pink City’ is gearing up to host a 9-day long cultural festival ‘Navras’ which is a stellar blend of arts, theatre, music and culture. The festival will be held at a popular Jaipur venue – Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK).

The navras festival revolves around providing an opportunity like never before to all the budding artists which have the calibre to walk past all odds to showcase their talents to the world. The ‘Navras’ festival aims to glorify the Indian culture and artefacts which will be witnessed by audience which will walk in from across the world.

The festival will begin on March 18 where a classical Indian singer Shubha Mudgal, be accompanied by her band Koshish. The audience will be in for an extensive amalgamation of traditional and modern art thereby rendering an exuberant dose of culture.

 In addition to a spectacular performance which will be presented to the audience, there will be no dearth of fun, frenzy and zing at the JKK.

  • Timeless by Aditi Mangaldas Das Company,
  • Ganapati by Asishakti group.

Music:

  • Indian classical by Vidya Shah and Shruti Sadolikar,
  • Sufi Kalam by Zila Khan.

Theatre:

  • White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Nassim Soleimanpour,
  • Kaumudi by Abhishek Majumdar,
  • Phool Kesula Phool—a local production organised by JKK and directed by Rajendra Panchal,
  • Tilchattey ki Diary (The diary of a cockroach)—children’s play that was commissioned by JKK last summer.

The opening highlight will be ‘Koshish’ – Pop and Fusion music which will get anybody and everybody grooving.

Amal Allana and Nissar Allana’s “The Theatre of Alkazi” will hit the right note at the event with it’s charming performances. This will be an initiative supported by Rajasthan Tourism Department. This artistic exhibition is a part of World Theatre’s Day and the Rajasthan Divas Celebration.
