Rajasthan MPs have also begun to organize Upyatra (sub tour) as an addition to CM Raje’s Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra across the state. The tour has been termed as ‘Saansad Gaurv Yatra’ which has begun on Tuesday. MP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, MoS Agriculture organized the first Upyatra in Phalodi constituency in Jodhpur district. Small meetings were held on Tuesday at several places like- Baru, Tekra, Sihda, Tepu, Dedasri, Sherasar and at some other gram panchayats around.
MP Shekhawat’s Upyatra did not have any grand welcome amid national mourning on the demise of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Shekhawat offered tributes to Atal Ji in the beginning of the meeting.
Aims of Saansad Gaurav Yatra
Upyatra’s are being organized as the part of CM’s Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra and aims to enhance the public reach. Saansad Gaurav Yatra has a three point agenda-
• To inform people about the schemes of state government.
• To extract feedback from state people about work done by Raje government.
• Direct interaction with public and resolve their queries and issues.
Upyatras of other MPs will also begin over this week. Saansad Gaurav Yatras will be held before CM’s Gaurav Yatra reaches their constituencies and cover places where Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra is not scheduled. Further, Kota MP Om Birla to start his Upyatra on August 24.
