The Chambal International Film Festival is scheduled to be held in Kota, Rajasthan. The two-day fest will commence from March 10 and will be concluded on March 11. Here, short film documentaries, animation films, and music videos from all across the world will be screened. The fest organized by Anugoonj Media Pvt Ltd is a platform where filmmakers can showcase their talent.
Festival Director Kapil Siddhartha said that this is the first time that Kota will be hosting an International Film Festival. The films screened during the event will be judged by the jury members and thereafter winners will be decided in different categories. The jury includes Lyricist Sayeed Qadri, Director of Photography and filmmaker Mazhar Kamran, and Singer and Music Composer Kshitij Tarey.

A total of 316 films from 28 countries have been nominated in the fest out of which 160 films will be screened. These countries include US, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, China, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, France, and others. The awards will be given away in 15 categories such as best film, best director, best actor, best actress, and others.
The Indian films which are to be screened at the fest include short films in different regional languages like Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, and others. There are several silent films on the list as well. The film Harishchandra Factory that was chosen as India’s official entry to the Academy Awards 2010 will also be screened at the festival.
