The fourth phase of Mission Indradhanush is going to be flagged off in 11 districts of Rajasthan from January 8. It will be aimed at covering the immunization of those children who were left out during the routine vaccination. These districts include Alwar, Barmer, Karauli, Dholpur, Bikaner, Jalore, Jaipur, Pali, Pratapgarh, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, and Udaipur.
Reportedly, a meeting was held on vaccination program conducted by the State Task Force in which Additional Chief Secretary, Medical & Health, Veenu Gupta gave significant instructions. She specifically instructed about achieving 1000% target in the vaccination as per the vaccination plan. Besides, the progress of the mission pulse polio and regular immunization was also reviewed in detail.
As per the revelation, the third phase of Mission Indradhanush was conducted in December in which 95.5% children and 97.3% pregnant women were successfully vaccinated. In other words, 17,798 out of 18,662 children and 3,439 out of 3,536 pregnant women were given vaccination by the health workers.

So basically all the remaining beneficiaries will be covered in the fourth phase starting from January 8. In order to achieve the 90% target, the government will be assisted by the women and child development department and Panchayati Raj department.
Mission Indradhanush was launched by the government in December 2014 to ensure complete immunization for all children at a rapid pace. It’s important to note that partially immunized and unimmunized children are more prone to childhood diseases and also bear a greater risk of dying as compared to the immunized ones. In such a scenario, full immunization can help a great deal in reducing infant mortality rate and facilitate progress on the socio-economic front.
