Almost 300 people fell ill supposedly after consuming contaminated food at a wedding function in the Sikar district of Rajasthan.
On Friday SHO Ranauli police station Ashok Chaudhary informed that, in the marriage function on Thursday night, after consuming the food, the guests started complaining of ailments, vomiting and serious stomach aches. The wedding was planned and organised in the Maksoodpura village.
After the repeated complaints of the guests, they were rushed immediately o the nearby hospitalwhere almost all of them were treated with the required treatment while few serious ones (around 15 people) were admitted for further treatments.
Chief Medical and Health officer Dr Shyam Sundar Agrawal said that the food samples from the marriage function have been collected and now further have been sent to the laboratory for testing,
