Reports say that more than 30 labours fell ill after drinking contaminated water in the Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. The incident happened in the Badi Sadhadi tehsil yesterday when around 30 workers who were working under the MNREGA scheme in the village drank water from a tank.
Soon after drinking the water, they started complaing to the head about stomach aches, vomitings etc. They were them immediately rushed to the nearby hospital and after the proper treatment were discharged later in the evening.
Chief Medical Officer K C Saini said, “Some labourers later inspected the tank in which they found a lizard which became the root cause of their ill-health.”
