Committed towards improving Rajasthan’s health before 2018, Rajasthan government is resolved to put in intense efforts in the healthcare industry. Other than increasing the patient capacity to 500 beds at Jaipuria Hospital, the state government is determined to invest in super-specialty facilities like dialysis, Cath lab, MRI and CT scan to benefit more patients in future.
Recently, the newly appointed state health minister Kalicharan Saraf inspected the hospital amenities on Monday. The minister called in a meeting of officers from RUHS (Rajasthan University of Health) and other medical colleges to discuss on key matters related to health. The principal Dr Rajesh Sharma was also invited to discuss the development of Jaipuria Hospital super-specialities.
Jaipuria Hospital shall Pioneer New Developments in Healthcare Industry
- Better Capacity
In 2016, approximately 5.4 lakh patients have been admitted to OPD (Outpatient department) of the hospital. Additionally, the authorities have conducted around 4.7 lakh diagnostic tests till date. To accommodate such a huge number of patients, the hospital authorities will introduce newer facilities in the hospital.
- Dialysis Wing
A new Dialysis wing (built on the lines of Jhalawar medical college) will be built in the hospital. This dialysis wing was inaugurated in Jhalawar by Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje. Taking inspiration from the model, the government has signed MoU with several private companies to develop this facility in Jhalawar last year. It’s the first-of-its-kind wing (facilitated with the capacity to accommodate 12 patients), to be introduced in a government hospital.
- Heart Surgery Unit
Jaipuria Hospital has signed a MoU with a private hospital to empower the department of cardiology at Jaipur. With the successful implementation of this agreement, the hospital authorities will start conducting complicated heart surgeries in future. Saraf directed the hospital authorities to include modern facilities for different heart ailments.
- Recruitment of New Specialists
Saraf has plans to appoint specialists to improve the quality of medical education. As of now, there are 52 doctors and 44 new faculties in the hospital. The health minister will make way for more recruitments to produce better results.
- Annapurna Rasoi
Rajasthan CM’s novel ambitious scheme ‘Annapurna Rasoi’ (that serves breakfast at Rs. 5/plat and lunch or dinner for Rs. 8/plate) gained massive popularity in the state. The government will make provisions to place these mobile food vans in hospital facilities to provide healthy and nutritious meals to patients and their relatives.
Hopefully, these new facilities at Jaipuria Hospital will help reduce pressure from SMS (Sawai Man Singh) Hospital.
