To make any region developed, it is crucial that people must be self-sufficient. They must have means of living and have opportunities of growth. If employment opportunities are lacking then it is duty of government to generate employment. Considering the welfare of Economically Backward Classes of Rajasthan, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and President Ram Nath Kovind had launched Sundar Singh Bhandari Swarojgar Yojana for Economically Backward Classes on 13th May, 2018. This financial scheme was launched by keeping the welfare of farmers and poor in mind. This scheme was announced on the day of state budget 2018-19. With an aim to make weaker sections of society self-employed, this scheme was launched.
Details of scheme
Here, the loan amount of ₹ 50000 is available to each family. Under the scheme, the govt. provides loans of up to Rs. 50,000 at 4 percent interest to EBC candidates. This interest rate is lesser than normal market rate for loans. To get this loan, people can also apply online. Only people belonging to EBC can be beneficiary of the scheme.
Since the time, the scheme has been launched it has helped many people of the state to be self-employed. Apart from this scheme, Rajasthan government also announced Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Antyodaya Swarojgar Yojana and others schemes.
