Jaipur city is going to host Smart City Expo India 2018 from 26-28 September. To attend this event, the delegation from 20 countries will come. This three-day event will showcase the innovation in the space of smart city globally. It will focus on social development, urbanization, smart destinations, urban cleaning, digital governance and ease of living. On September 25, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will start two-day visit to Jaipur. He will inaugurate Smart City Expo India, 2018. He is coming to Jaipur on the special request of the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Its official information has been given to the Chief Minister’s Office.
In regard to the vice-president visit to Jaipur, Chief Secretary DB Gupta held a meeting with the top officials of the state government’s departments and took stock of the preparations. Traffic movement, availability of medical team and food arrangements were discussed in the meeting.
In fact, Vice President’s Office has released a minute-to-minute program of Venkaiah Naidu’s Jaipur tour. As per the reports, Vice President will leave for Jaipur on September 25. He will depart from Tirupati Airport at 12: 30 am and reach Jaipur Airport at 3: 15pm. On September 26, he will attend the Smart City Expo India-Jaipur 2018. Then, he will attend Homeopathic University Program as chief guest from 11:00am to 12:00 noon. At 12: 30pm, he will leave Jaipur airport to reach Delhi.
Prior to becoming the Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu played an important role in the successful implementation of the Smart City scheme while being a Central Cooperative Development Minister.
