rajasthan border security

rajasthan border securityThe recent terrorist attack on the Army Base camp in Uri, Kashmir, and the entire country is gripped in the grief for the martyrs and agony for those terrorists who attacked our country. When the boundaries of the country are manned by our brave hearts, it becomes impeccable for Border Security Force (BSF) to strengthen their presence in the area so that the terrorists doesn’t get any more chances to infiltrate into our country and disturb our peace. In this regard, strict standing instructions have been given by authorities to secure every inch of our boundary.

BSF Rajasthan Frontier IG B R Meghwal has given strict orders and asked his personnel to be prepared for any kind of situation at the border. Other than security forces, the police headquarters have also been given standing instructions to be on a continuous vigil at all the towns located nearby the borders of India and Pakistan.

Army Chiefs have directed their forces to be at alert and take every development at the border very seriously as the countrymen could not afford any more infiltrations or terrorist attacks. Meghwal said, “Extra troops have been deployed at the border. A close watch is being maintained particularly in Sriganganagar, which is on high alert.”

As per the reports, IG also informed that heavy movements have been noticed by soldiers of Pakistani rangers’ right across Sriganganagar borders. He added, ” Around 35-40 Pakistani troops were seen together there. We have directed our troops to be on high alert.”

The situation becomes tenser as Rajasthan shares a significant percentage of boundaries with Pakistan. Thus, alerts have been issued to Air Force and Army stations all across Rajasthan, including Jaisalmer, Barmer, Phalodi, Suratgarh, Naal, Bikaner and Jodhpur Air Force bases including the Chandan field firing range in Jaisalmer.

BSF Rajasthan Frontier DIG Ravi Gandhi said that all sectors of the Rajasthan Frontier, including Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Sriganganagar along with Barmer sector of the Gujarat Frontier, have been directed to keep a strict vigil. “Patrolling is being conducted on camels and foot,” he said.

Also, additional reserve security personnel have been deployed inside all army cantonment areas. Jaisalmer SP Gaurav Yadav said, “All police stations in the entire the border area were on high alert. Security arrangements in hotels with foreign tourists are also being reviewed.” Barmer SP Gagan Deen Singhala has also confirmed that strict vigil was being maintained across the district, including all the border villages.
