The aspirants for RAS (Rajasthan Administrative services) should be happy now. RPSC has announced the date for RAS prelims i.e. 5th August, 2018. The decision to hold the exam came after the meeting of CM Vasundhara Raje with newly appointed chairman of RPSE Deepak Upreti. Every year, lac of candidates prepare for the exam. Hence, the exam date will work as motivation for them. As RPSC is expected to release the admit card soon, hence the candidates are advised to keep a check on official website — rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. for updates.
As per the sources, almost 5.0 lac candidates are applying for the exam. The exam will held in 1454 centres across the state. There are vacancy for 980 posts in various departments of government offices. The announcement for posts had been made in April and the last date to apply was 11th May, 2018.
Selection Procedure
The selection in RAS exam consists of three stages- preliminary exam, main exam and final interview. Talking about the pattern and syllabus of RAS Prelims Exam, it consists of one objective paper of 200 marks. The syllabus consists of General Knowledge and General Science. There will be 150 questions and the standard of the paper will be of Bachelor’s Degree level. It will be of 3 hours.
