After around 4000 resident doctors went on strike the medical services at all six government college hospitals was deeply affected. The doctors went on strike in Rajasthan last night to protest against the decision of the government to send their answer scripts for assessment and evaluation to other states, demanding the state government to announce severe action against them at the earliest.
Reacting to this, Rajendra Rathore Health Minister, recently held a meeting with the officials and had directed them to expire the admission in Post Graduation of all those in-service resident doctors who are involved in the strike. “This is a stubborn attitude of the resident doctors and will not be tolerated. Therefore appropriate action against them is being taken,” the minister told.
Also, Vice President of Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors, Akash Mathur, said, “Only few days are left for the examination and the authorities should have informed us at least six months ago so that we could prepare accordingly. Instead of sending copies to other states, the government should improve the academic standards.”
