As Independence Day is just around the corner, India is building up the defense to guard its national festival. Just recently, the armed forces launched Operation Alert on the western frontier to guard India against terror and untoward activities. Op Alert entailed web based monitoring of the borders, regular patrols, and deployment of extra army personnel at the border.
Having received intelligence inputs on suspected terrorist activities around August 15, the armed forces are fully prepared to evade the danger. Rajasthan BSF (Border Security Forces) has organized army drills for the police and military men. The officers receive defense training in the camps to prepare them for challenging situations in future.
On Thursday, Chief Air Marshal R.K. Dhir visited Jaisalmer Air Force Station to monitor the security arrangements in Rajasthan. He took a quick tour of the region to monitor ongoing operational activities in Jaisalmer.
