On 15th August 2015, Bhamashah scheme was inaugurated by Vasundhara Raje. The scheme is named after the Bhamashah a famous minister, financier and general who helped Maharana Pratap.
Bhamashaha Yojana has been a revolutionary scheme initiated by the Rajasthan Government. It has touched a million lives and transformed the livelihood means for all those covered in its ambit. Bhamashah has been a game-changer for Rajasthan and its dwellers. Incredible benefits delivered directly to the beneficiary’s account engenders seamless transfer of Government benefits and incentives over periodic intervals.

Heath is Wealth:
Raje-led Government has successfully worked towards constructing community health centres, high Level Government Medical Institute and Listed private hospital. Until date, over 43,000 families have become true beneficiaries of this scheme. Over 850 State and private hospitals have been collaborated with, to extend health benefits to all those in need. Under Bhamashah, those patients suffering from critical ailments will be provided a cover of upto Rs.3 lacs. Other benefits shall include:
- 7-day pre-hospitalisation and 15 days post hospitalization is covered under the scheme.
- Transport allowance of Rs. 100 to Rs. 500 for cardiac and polytrauma cases.
- Patients shall be benefitted for 1045 packages under General Illnesses, 500 packages under Critical Illnesses, and 170 packages reserved for Govt. Hospitals.
Rajasthan Government initiated the Bhamashah Health insurance scheme to ensure each and everybody has a Health Insurance Plan. Government will fund insurance schemes for all those who cannot afford for themselves. Remarkably, under the Health schemes, under-privileged patients who cannot afford a medical plan for themselves will be entitled to treatments in the Private hospitals, on the expense of the Government.
E-Health cards have been issued to ensure seamless delivery of health benefits. The Raje government also reaffirmed that no stone will be unturned for the convenience of the patients. A nurse will always accompany a patient in order to avert any casualties at the earliest.
An ultra-whopping amount of Rs.51,14,90,71,503 has been deployed towards the successful implementation of the scheme. Over 1,32,44,773 families, including 4,72,47,574 members have been benefitted from this exemplary scheme led by the Raje Government. This number seems to be ever-increasing, as Bhamashah aims to touch a million more lives each day.
When women do good, States do good:
They aptly say ‘ Female child is a nation’s pride’. Rajasthan is making earnest efforts in this regard. Raje government has briskly treaded on the path of women empowerment. By implementing the scheme, the government reiterated it’s firm belief that women, if supported can bring true laurels to the country.
Women can register themselves at e-Mitra centres for free. The Bhamashah card is allotted to one woman of the house, thereby reinforcing her decision making power in the house. The cash and non-cash benefits are allotted to various public welfare schemes. All cash incentives are directly credited into the beneficiary’s account. This scheme finds its purpose in financial inclusion, women empowerment and effective service delivery.
Raje Government strengthens its vision that,
“empowerment of the woman is empowerment of the society and thus the State”.
Driven by Soil Health Management initiated at the Centre, Rajasthan also took a major step in the direction. Agriculture has been given a major boost through the Soil Card scheme. Various measures to ease out the cultivation and harvesting process for the farmers. SHM aims at promoting Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) through judicious use of chemical fertilisers including secondary and micro nutrients in conjunction with organic manures and bio-fertilisers for improving soil health and its productivity; bolstering soil and fertiliser testing facilities to provide soil test based recommendations to farmers for enhancing soil fertility.
The public is not just happy with the Bhamashah Yojana, it is relieved and looks forward to more such direct benefits stemming from the government. This has been an exemplary initiative in the history of Rajasthan. Unlike 10 futile years of Congress, BJP has proved it’s worth yet again in as less as 3 years.
