Memoirs of past: The readers at the Government Saraswati Library will now be able to witness a giant white marble idol in the premises of the library. This would be the first time ever a library in Rajasthan would showcase something extraordinary and unusual. The library is situated in the Gulab Bagh area in the Udaipur district.
The statue is of the Queen Victoria, the Empress of India who was also deemed as a proud symbol of colonialism. This has become a major attraction of the library both for the regular readers and the new ones.
