Rajasthan admires the Bangalore city’s buses and transport and transit management centres (TTMCs. Our transport minister Yunus Khan and a team of officials were recently went to the city of Bangalore to learn from its success story.
In a statement, Yunus Khan said, “We have heard a lot of good things about Bengaluru’s transport services, the BMTC in particular. We also want to see the transport and transit management centres (TTMCs) and draw lessons on how to develop a bus terminus with adequate public amenities,”
Let us also tell you, Rajasthan is yet to upgrade its public transport service and sleek transit centres for better function and movement of buses. He said that small towns in Rajasthan don’t have enough number of bus shelters.
He added, “It’s difficult to access remote villages in the desert region. Citizens are inconvenienced as they have to wait for long before they can find a bus to their destination. We are trying to address their grievances and concerns.”
