Flagship Schemes in Rajasthan
Central Government has launched some flagship schemes in Rajasthan. Under Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje, several unique schemes were initiated in Rajasthan which are followed by other states. Among these innovative schemes, Bamashah Yojna is remarkable. In the Bhamashah scheme, Social Security Pension, MNREGA payment, Public Distribution System, Janani Suraksha and scholarship facility was included.
For providing better health facilities to the poor, 1304 hospitals in state and private clinics are covered under Bhamashah Health Scheme. For every family, health insurance cover of Rs. 30 thousand annually for general ailments and Rs. 3 lakhs for critical diseases are provided.
In 2014-15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started nationwide Mrida Swasthaya card scheme in Suratgarh in Rajasthan. This schemes aims at doubling the income of farmers of the country by 2022. Considering this challenge of water, Chief Minister launched Swavlamban campaign in urban areas along with the villages.
Rajasthan government also introduced Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojna for girls. Under the scheme, amount of Rs 198 crores 20 lakhs has so far been distributed. Apart from this there are several schemes launched by Rajasthan government like Annapoorna store scheme for providing multi-brand consumer goods at the fair price shops. There are other schemes for building roads, providing employment and cleanliness too.
In order to provide relief to the disabled, in the flagship schemes, about 8.77 thousand special qualifications were registered by placing Pt. Dindayal Upadhyay specially qualified camps.
