To prevent the spreading of seasonal diseases amongst rural population, two-month campaign will be launched in Rajasthan. To safeguard people from diseases like hypertension, diabetes along with cholera, heatstroke, diarrhoea, jaundice and influenza, Health department of the state is planning to conduct screening. These diseases are very common even in villages.

These camps will be organized under ‘mera gaon swasthya gaon’(my village, healthy village) initiative. The officials of health department will reach out to villagers in these two months. They will aware the villagers about the diseases, provide preventive measures and offer treatment. In this campaign, villagers will be encouraged to quit tobacco.
They will be asked to use chlorinated water for drinking and reduce sources of mosquito breeding.
Water-borne diseases increase in summer. Hence, it is important to make people aware about cleaning their houses. In fact, cases of diarrhoea, cholera and other such diseases increases due to contaminated water and stale food consumption.
To facilitate the treatment to the villagers, ANMs and ASHA workers will be roped into. In fact, the diagnostic test facilities will be made available under this initiative.
From 1 May, the camps will be organized in 9891 panchayats for two months. The camps will be organised at panchayat headquarters of Rajasthan.
