Rajasthan Government has now taken a new step towards empowering the women of the state. In a cabinet meeting in the capital city of Jaipur which was chaired by the CM Vasundhara Raje, it was announced that all pregnant women who fall under BPL, will be provided with 5liters of desi ghee.
These five litres of desi ghee will be provided in 2 parts, the first 3 litres will be provided after her tests and the rest 2 litres will be provided after the delivery of the baby. Rajendra Rathore, The Parliamentary Affairs Minister of the state said that this will help the pregnant women to maintain their and thier baby’s good health throughout the 9 struggling months.
Initially, the scheme will be run as a guide project in Tonk, Dholpur, Churu, Jaisalmer, Jhunjhnu, Baran and Banswara districts
