Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje announced the recruitment of 87,000 teachers by the end of this year. CM Raje addressed more than 35,000 teachers at Amroodon ka Bagh in Jaipur on Teachers Day. In her address to teachers, CM Raje claimed that the government had recruited 78,000 teachers. ‘When we came to power, 50% of the teacher’s posts were vacant. Today the vacant posts have been reduced to 20 percent and after this recruitment, the vacant post will be reduced to 2%.’ CM Raje proudly announced.
Government’s effort to reduce post vacancies
Giving credit to the teachers for the state’s improved ranking in the education sector, CM thanked all the teachers. CM Raje claimed that the state ranked 26th in 2013 under the former Congress government, and today it ranked second. ‘No other state in the country has made as much progress. It is your hard work and I am indebted, forever.’ CM Raje further added.
CM Raje advised Education Minister Vasudev Devnani that the education department should send teacher for training abroad. Raje suggested following the model of the department of science and technology, which had recently sent 91 students to Silicon Valley. ‘The education department should similarly send 100 teachers under the training program.
