Rajasthan to get new toll on NH 8 by MEP: The MEP Infrastructure Developers Ltd company has attained a one-year contract to collect toll in Rajasthan. The National Highway Authority of India has selected the company to do so on a section of National Highway-8 which connects Udaipur and Kherwara.

The company in a BSE filing said, “The Company has received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) dated May 03, 2016 from NHAI informing that MEP has been engaged as the contractor for collection of user fee on the basis of competitive bidding for Paduna Toll Plaza at Km 311.100 for the section Km 278.000 to Km 348.000 [Udaipur- Kherwara] of NH No. 8 in the State of Rajasthan,”

Also, the vice chairman and managing director of MEP Infrastructure Developers Ltd said, “MEP has been successful in retaining Paduna Toll Plaza for the 3rd time in a row from NHAI and this is the maiden one year toll award in this fiscal. MEP has recently also bagged 4 projects under BOT Hybrid Annuity Model from NHAI and NORTH with an order book of Rs.2,589.26 Crores for Hybrid Annuity.”
