Lately the opposition party in the state of Rajasthan has made some allegations on the ruling party- BJP under the leadership of Vasundhara Raje that the party has only made promises but has not fulfilled any and also that party is not doing any developmental work in the state. Countering back the former CM of Rajasthan and Congress leader, Ashok Gehlot on Thursday, Rajasthan Chief Minister said that all the allegations are wrong and the state government- BJP has already fulfilled 72 % of the total promises the party made during the time of elections. She said that BJP government has fulfilled 479 out of 667 promises made.
In a statement after the party’s state executive meeting in Jaipur, CM Raje said that BJP has already done more work in 2 and a-half years than the Congress did in 5 years in various sectors.
“We have increased electricity production by 4,430 Megawatt (MW), while Congress could increase it only by 2,512 MW; we spent Rs 10,908 crore on drinking water, while Congress spent only Rs 4,656 crore; we spent Rs 10,600 crore on construction of roads, while Congress spent only Rs 5,335 crore,” the CM said.
Also, while addressing the media persons, Ashok Parnami, BJP state president said, “We are still recovering from a debt of Rs 2.13 lakh crore left on us by the previous Congress government. The then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot didn’t do any work in his five years. And in his last six months, he announced several initiatives only to gain political mileage.”
