Rajasthan Chief Minister cancelled the second phase of her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra on the morning of 16th August due to the poor health of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpyaee. She suddenly made changed her scheduled and rushed to Delhi to meet him at AIIMS. She met him during his last time. But, around 5 PM, the news of his demise came out. Everyone was upset on losing their favourite leader. CM Raje also shared her grief on the death of Atal ji.
After his death, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was emotional and said that was a “fatherly figure who guided me always.” He paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. She said that his demise is like a personal loss to me which cannot be summed up in word. She remembered his contribution to the nation and added that he would always be remembered.

Vasundhara Raje also shared that she took her first steps into politics under Atalji and learnt a lot from him. She was also union minister under his cabinet.
Rajasthan BJP president Madan Lal Saini, organisation general secretary Chandrashekhar and general secretary Bhajanlal Sharma went to Delhi to pay tributes to the former Prime Minister. Today, the last rites of three times PM of India were held. Atalji’s funeral was attended by a large gathering of common man. His demise brought tears to innumerable eyes as he was a great personality.
To give honour to one of the greatest leaders of Indian politics, seven day mourning has been observed by central government. Rajasthan also announced a day holiday and seven day mourn on his death.
