The birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi will be a special event for the families of many prisoners of Rajasthan state. It is decided by Rajasthan government to release the 86 prisoners which are lodged in different jails across the state. The permission is taken from the governor of the state and this release of prisoners will be carried out on 2nd October. Know more.
Under the special amnesty scheme, Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh has approved the release of 86 prisoners on the state government’s recommendation. These prisoners have been serving sentence in various jails of Rajasthan. This release is recommended on the basis of good conduct of prisoners.
Prisoners to be released from jail
In the list of prisoners to be released on Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, most are from Jaipur division while the lowest are from Udaipur division. In these prisoners, 35 prisoners from Jaipur will be released. Apart from them, 26 from Bikaner division, 7 from Kota, 7 from Jodhpur division, 4 from Bharatpur and 4 from Ajmer division and 3 prisoners from Udaipur division will be released.
150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
On 2nd October, 2019, it will be the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. To commemorate this special day, the celebration will be beginning from this birth anniversary. The celebrations will be held across the nation.
