Rajasthan is developing 16 kms of road, Yunus Khan, the Public Work Department Minister in Rajasthan late said that the state government will be soon successful in connecting every village to another as it is developing a 16 kilometer of road every single connecting 5 villages of the state. PWD department with an aim of connecting every rural area and hamlet in the state is rapidly moving in the direction and claims that 99 percent of the total work under the state policy, ‘Gramin Gaurav Path’ has already been completed.
Yunus Khan lately said, “Works for 2155 Gramin Gaurav Paths were sanctioned and a target of building 2200 km of roads was set. We have achieved 99 percent of the target.”
Rajasthan is the number one state of the country in developing highways. The minister further added, “Under the project, a total of 4600 km road will be built with 60 percent contribution coming from the Centre and the remaining from the state.” A total of 1622 crore have been invested in this project.
Talking about completing, reconstructing and renovating around 9000 kilometers of road in the state, Yunus Khan also said, “World Bank and Asian Development Bank both are ready to give a loan of Rs 3500 crore each for the work.”
