Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was invited as the chief guest at the first convocation ceremony of the Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology. She briefed the students, doctors and other who were present at the event. She emphasised on the fact that if both, private and public sectors come together; there are better changes that the state government would be able to deliver better medical facilities to the residents of the state.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said to provide the state with better medical facilities and medical services, the private and public sector must work together. Along with business leaders, she also suggested the doctors to make groups and operate various primary health centres, trauma centres etc on the PPP (public private partnership) mode. She asked the private sector to step ahead and help the state government in the various malnutrition treatment centres and adolescent girls’ health care centres in the state. She said that innovation such as telemedicine, as well as the adoption of a memorandum of understanding with foreign hospitals and primary health centres, community health centres etc must be operated on the PPP mode.
Rajasthan state government’s initiative- Bhamashah health insurance plan is the best plan in the country in which more than one million beneficiaries of BPL families and the National Food Security scheme have been covered. But for the further success of this scheme, it is necessary for the public and private sector doctors and hospitals to cooperate. Under the Arogya Rajasthan campaign, after a lot of tests, around 19 lakh people have been identified with more than 1.5 lakh diseases. The main aim of this campaign is to maintain a health profile of every resident of the state and provide excellent health services and facilities.
Girl education has always been given a priority in Rajasthan in the leadership of CM Raje. On the occasion, she asked everyone to take responsibility of the complete care and education of at least one girl in the state like the way she is doing. CM Raje in the past one year has adopted 99 girls and is not only helping them avail the best education possible, but is also setting an example by doing so. She has promised to the state that like her previous year, she will also help girls in the coming year. Here, she focused on promoting hygiene to decrease the incidences of adolescent girls leaving the schools. She further said that the involvement of the community is essential to locate sanitary napkin vending machines in schools and colleges. She appealed to the public and private hospitals to ensure proper treatment if they come across any patient of mal-nutrition, as she said she is looking forward towards making Rajasthan a mal-nutrition free state.
CM Raje’s far-sightedness and her policies have transformed Rajasthan like never before.
