Schools to provide Bhagwad Gita in the libraries in Rajasthan

Schools to provide “Bhagwad Geeta” in the libraries in Rajasthan All these holy books of Hindu mythology have been a source of inspiration and path setter for many people. Now, with this idea in mind, the Rajasthan Education Board has decided that management student would learn techniques from Lord Krishna. They would be included in the curriculum for postgraduate courses for commerce stream and management in colleges affiliated to the Rajasthan University.

The University officials are of the opinion that the students would get a clearer insight of life through the Hindu God Krishna’s conversation with Arjun right before the Kurukshetra battle along with the ways through which Lord Rama defeated Ravana with the help of Vanara Sena (army of monkeys).

“Lord Krishna has beautifully explained the concept of division of labour, motivation, authority , responsibility and leadership qualities,” said Naveen Mathur, who heads the Rajasthan University’s curriculum revision panel.

According to officials, such changes are made so that the students could get a closer look into the Indian culture and mythology. It is very important to know your country better than others. Also, the chapters on philosophies of Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi have replaced those of the foreign authors like Robert Owen and James Burnham.
