Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Entrepreneurship & Skill Development has appreciated Rajasthan for developing an ecosystem for skill development. The minister during his visit to the state on Friday said that Rajasthan has taken various initiatives in skill sector and has “developed a good ecosystem”.
Union Minister Pradhan also added that Rajasthan is the first state to develop one private and one Government University for skill development. He further talked about developing a network of employment by training the youth and skill-oriented workers of the state.

He also gave suggestions regarding manpower mapping, drivers training, recognition of prior learning and apprenticeship so as to enhance the skill training programs. Moreover, he laid emphasis on teaching Japanese languages in universities and institutes as it’s an important factor for employment.
The minister visited Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) established by Rajasthan Government. It provides skill education through Swiss Dual System of Training. Here he appreciated the vision of Dr. Rajendra Joshi for creating a world-class skilling centre and said that more of such institutes need to be established.

Previously in the day, he attended the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) biennial meet and addressed the delegates. During the meet, he talked about reducing oil and gas import dependency by at least 10% which will ensure access to energy and thus PM Modi’s vision of affordable energy will be realized.
