Rajasthan Royals is all set to play its 10th match of the IPL tournament against Kings XI Punjab tonight. But the team is rather heading on a Mission Impossible as it has to win all the remaining five matches in order to qualify to playoffs. Fun fact: The Royals have never won their last five games consequently; each time the team made it to the playoffs, it has always been way ahead in the tournament.
Currently, Rajasthan Royals are at the bottom of the IPL Table and after scoring just six points from 9 matches out of which only 3 have been won. Today’s match is the 10th one for the team that may help the Royals in heading towards the playoff. Notably, the Ajinkya Rahane-led team lost to Punjab just two days ago in Indore and today the same teams are going to lock horns at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

As per the performance of the Royals in last few matches, one thing that they lack in is the consistency. On one hand, they scored 217 against Royal Challengers but on the other day, they failed to chase the target of 151 made by SunRisers Hyderabad. Also, the team has rarely crossed the threshold of 200 total runs in this year’s tournament.
A major reason for the team not being able to live up to the expectations of the spectators is that some of the most expensive players like Ben Stokes (bought for INR 12.5 Crores) and Jaydev Unadkut (bought for INR 11.5 Crores) have not been able to impress with their performances.
Talking about Kings XI Punjab, the team is also going to play its 10th match today but it has already won 6 out of 9 matches and currently sits at the 3rd position of the IPL table. The first two positions are held by SunRisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings, respectively.
Nonetheless, the fans of Rajasthan Royals are desperately hoping for the team to win all its remaining matches. If the team loses today’s game against Punjab, it would automatically lose its chance for the playoffs. Also, the weather may create trouble for the game as the weather department has issued a warning regarding a probable storm in the state.
